General Information
What Are We?
Boarding Home means an establishment that:
-
Furnishes, in one or more buildings, lodging to three or more persons with disabilities or elderly persons who are unrelated to the owner of the establishment by blood or marriage; and
-
Provides residents with community meals, light housework, meal preparation, transportation, grocery shopping, money management, laundry services, or assistance with self-administration or medication, but does not provide personal care services as defined by Section 247.002 of the Texas Health and Safety Code to those persons.
Boarding houses date back hundreds of years and come in a variety of different types and options. Predominately the idea of a boarding house is a property that it includes a room and board . With board being meals and often including services like laundry and cleaning.

How to Get Started
Call to request an evaluation. We will call you to schedule your first visit.
At Your First Visit
DELIGHTFUL staff will determine if your family is eligible for services.
Make a Plan
An Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) will be developed for you to receive services. Billing and payments will be discussed.
Start Housing Services
Services are provided by DELIGHTFUL are caring trained professionals. We will assist resident in setting up care giver services, that service everyday basic living assistance. HBH and family members work together to help the family member learn new skills through everyday activities. Services are coordinated with others in the community.
Housing Progress
Your family member progress will be reviewed regularly. Some residents will be on a 30 day or 3 month trail basis.
